Become a WiSE Trustee
WiSE (Wetherby in Support of the Elderly) is a registered charity overseen by a Board of Trustees. We are currently looking for new Trustees to help support the work we do. If you are interested in joining us, the questions and answers below may help you.
What skills/abilities should I have if I want to
become a Trustee?
You will need to be interested in helping to develop work to support older people in Wetherby and the surrounding villages. You might already be a volunteer or have heard about our work from others. You don’t need to have a particular skill but if you have then that would be great.
What time commitment is involved?
The Trustees meet once a month to keep an eye on the strategic development of WiSE’s work within the community and, in particular, its relationship with its funder Leeds City Council. Most of our existing Trustees are also volunteers with WiSE but that is not a requirement if you want to be a Trustee.
How do I find out more?
You might want to talk it through with someone before you express an interest. If so please contact Dave Masterman, Chair Trustees, at the following email address; d.masterman@w-ise.org.uk
Thank you for your interest.
